Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automated test suites for web and mobile applications
- Design comprehensive test plans based on functional and technical specifications
- Execute manual and automated tests to validate software functionality
- Collaborate with developers and product teams to identify and resolve defects
- Integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery
- Monitor and report on test coverage and quality metrics
- Perform regression testing to ensure new changes do not break existing features
- Conduct exploratory testing to uncover edge-case issues
- Validate API behavior using tools like Postman or equivalent
- Ensure compliance with defined quality standards across releases
- Participate in sprint planning and contribute to backlog refinement
- Document test cases and maintain up-to-date testing documentation
- Analyze root causes of recurring defects and recommend improvements
- Evaluate user stories for testability and completeness
- Support deployment activities with pre-release validation
- Stay current with emerging testing tools and methodologies
- Contribute to test environment setup and configuration
- Work closely with DevOps to troubleshoot environment-related issues
- Assist in defining non-functional testing requirements
- Promote quality-first practices within the engineering team
