Sema Technologies is hiring a Senior Python Engineer to build the next-generation Sema Intelligence Platform. This AI-based system understands code and Jira to help keep product roadmaps on track. You'll be deeply involved in the product within our flat, collaborative teams, directly influencing its direction.
What You'll Do
- Build the next-generation Sema Intelligence Platform, an AI-based system that understands code and Jira.
- Potentially work on developing an agentic AI capability.
- Be deeply involved in the product and product decisions, not just siloed to tasks.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a senior Python back-end engineer.
- A product-focused mindset and a genuine interest in what you are building.
- A proactive nature, with a habit of asking questions and seeking to understand the bigger picture.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Python web frameworks like Django or FastAPI.
- Experience in an early-stage startup environment.
- Experience with building with LLMs or building agentic AI systems.
- Front-end experience with frameworks like Vue.js or React.
