Join RK&K as a Senior Proposal Writer (Senior Pursuit Specialist), playing a key role in elevating our firm's proposal development efforts. As part of our award-winning, collaborative culture of over 100 years, you will work closely with technical leaders across diverse disciplines to craft compelling narratives that win work.
What You'll Do
- Produce creative and informative proposals (Adobe InDesign) and presentations (Microsoft PPT) that sell the firm’s professional services.
- Handle complex, multi-team efforts or multiple pursuits simultaneously.
- Update, maintain and produce marketing materials including resumes, project descriptions, and statements of qualifications.
- Track marketing activities and leads, maintaining the associated database (Deltek Vision) and running reports.
- Search for and circulate RFQs and RFPs for public sector opportunities, requiring familiarity with various procurement websites.
- Support tracking of project opportunities through research of client websites, CIP, and other procurement events.
- Lead and/or participate in regular marketing meetings with technical staff to strategize for ongoing and upcoming pursuits.
What We're Looking For
- BA or BS in English, Journalism, Communications or a related discipline.
- Six (6)+ years of experience in professional services marketing, ideally within the A/E/C industry.
- Experience developing both standard government format and custom 'free-form' proposals and presentations for design-bid-build and design-build projects.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and the ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
- Demonstrated proficiency editing technical writing and proofreading for content, grammar, and style.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint) and Adobe Creative Suite (specifically InDesign).
- Excellent written, verbal, and visual presentation skills.
- Ability to consistently deliver quality work under reasonable timelines and manage multiple deliverables simultaneously.
- Overall awareness of and commitment to brand guideline compliance.
