About the Role

Zurich Canada is hiring a Senior Property Portfolio Underwriter for a key role within Zurich UK Retail, directly supporting people and delivering for customers. You will work closely with the UK Regional Property Manager to help drive and deliver commercial plans and strategies, bringing strong technical Property underwriting expertise.

What You'll Do

  • Analyze risk and address complex technical matters using your technical underwriting skills.
  • Interpret underwriting and insurance KPIs with confidence, working with data to inform decisions.
  • Collaborate closely with your immediate team, wider underwriting colleagues, and cross-functional teams including Central Underwriting, Claims, Finance, Pricing, and Risk Engineering.
  • Deliver against commercial plans by implementing the Property action plan and driving growth in key markets.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to support sound underwriting decisions across the business.
  • Regularly review Property portfolio performance, identify key trends, and present actionable recommendations.
  • Maintain and enhance operational reporting suites to ensure strong performance oversight and effective commercial delivery.
  • Undertake case underwriting, including direct interaction with brokers and customers.
  • Support audit-related activities, such as Ad Hoc Spot Checks on Regional Property business.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performing team environment focused on delivering for customers, colleagues, shareholders, and communities.
