About the Role

RBC Borealis is hiring a Senior Project Manager/Scrum Master to manage the initiation, planning, and execution of waterfall and agile projects for the Custody Domain. Reporting to the Custody Domain Program Director, you will provide expertise in managing vendor deliverables, integration, data, and reporting while building relationships between IT, vendors, and business stakeholders.

What You'll Do

  • Manage programs, sometimes with multiple workstreams that could be led by other PMs or Scrum Masters.
  • Apply experience and seasoned knowledge to perform a variety of assignments.
  • Serve as a liaison and build bridges among team members, including vendors, and collaborate with internal and external partners.
  • Develop and manage detailed schedules, identify early warning indicators, provide direction for risk and issue resolution, and maintain clear escalation paths.
  • Develop Project Authorization Requests (PARs), oversee financials and staffing levels, complete risk assessments, and track value for effective decision-making.
  • Build and present for Senior Director and VP-level project communications.
  • Initiate process improvements and promote agile enablement within the team.

What We're Looking For

  • 10+ years of combined Project Management and Scrum Master experience on medium-to-high complexity initiatives.
  • 5+ years of experience in Agile Project Management or Senior Scrum Master roles, with expertise in both waterfall and Agile methodologies.
  • Extensive experience managing high-complexity technology and business projects involving systems integration and organizational change management.
  • Proven ability to manage high-visibility projects with strong executive presence and excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Undergraduate degree with CSM, PMP, or equivalent certification, and proficiency in JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint.
  • Strong understanding of change and risk management, SDLC, and advanced knowledge of Agile workflows, including sprint backlogs, milestones, and release burndowns.
  • A proactive, 'can-do' attitude with a sense of urgency and flexibility.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in a matrix environment, preferably within a financial institution.
