GE is looking for a Senior Project Manager responsible for executing large-scale turnkey or complex power generation projects. In this role, you will be the primary GE representative and customer focal point, owning the relationship and driving resolution throughout the project lifecycle.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the primary GE representative and focal point for the customer, owning the relationship and driving issue resolution.
- Engage and support during the offer/tendering phase to ensure robust fulfilment capabilities and execution strategy.
- Define and implement the project execution strategy.
- Own overall project execution, coordinating cross-functional teams across engineering, procurement, logistics, field execution, and performance demonstration.
- Provide project leadership to ensure on-time delivery, contract fulfilment, and margin attainment.
- Understand and implement contract terms and conditions.
- Manage project financials including price, cost, forecasts, margin, invoicing, and receivables, and participate in margin reviews.
- Drive the project schedule in collaboration with a Project Planner/Scheduler.
- Proactively identify, manage, and mitigate project risks throughout the lifecycle, escalating as needed.
- Define and manage the strategy for claims management.
- Provide regular project status updates and lead project reviews.
- Capture and report project best practices, lessons learned, and Cost-of-Poor Quality cases.
- Apply Lean management tools to reduce waste and improve project execution.
- Manage stakeholder communication with customers, regional teams, PMO, senior management, and consortium members.
- Follow established Conversions, Modifications and Upgrades (CM&U) Project Management processes.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or another technical/business field, or equivalent experience.
- Extensive project management experience in Turnkey, large-scale services projects for Power Generation or particularly complex extended scope projects.
- PMP Certification, Project Management Leadership Program (PMLP) Graduate, or other formal project management training.
- Ability to maintain PMO Project Manager Qualification status through ongoing training and recertification.
- Willingness and ability to travel for extended periods (approximately 30%).
- Fluency in English.
