A. O. Smith Corp. is looking for a Senior Project Engineer to perform advanced engineering tasks independently and serve as the lead mentor for the engineering design team. In this role, you will guide development projects through the entire lifecycle from initial concept to successful completion.
What You'll Do
- Manage all aspects of complex and significant engineering projects from start to finish, delivering on time and within budget.
- Identify projects of value to the company and lead their development.
- Develop and apply engineering standards and procedures, providing expert advice.
- Effectively communicate technical material to internal business units.
- Use excellent analytical skills to review costs and prepare budget reports.
- Develop systems and documentation for programs to ensure products meet all contractual and quality requirements.
- Conduct project meetings and communicate project status within and beyond the project team.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field of study.
- 5+ years of industry-related work experience.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to balance and manage multiple projects within schedule and budget constraints.
- Action-oriented with advanced problem-solving skills.
Nice to Have
- Six Sigma and/or FMEA experience.
Technical Stack
- Solidworks, MATLAB, LabView, Minitab, EES, CFD, FEA
