Canva is looking for a Senior Product Manager to shape the AI engineering strategy and platform development for our engineering community. In this role, you will be part of the Infra Supergroup, which builds foundational platforms for Canva’s engineers, focusing on how AI accelerates our 2,000+ engineers.
What You'll Do
- Drive the AI engineering strategy and roadmap, shaping the vision for how AI accelerates Canva's 2,000+ engineers.
- Define the tooling stack, prioritize platform investments, and build business cases to unlock budget and resources.
- Build deep, continuous connection with the engineering community through weekly office hours, bi-weekly roundtables, and active Slack engagement.
- Remove barriers and drive adoption by identifying high-impact pain points, shipping quick wins, and creating self-service documentation.
- Define and communicate success by building measurement frameworks tracking adoption, productivity, satisfaction, and ROI.
- Curate the tooling landscape and experiment at the edge by maintaining comparisons of AI coding tools and running pilots on emerging capabilities.
- Experiment and build constantly as a practitioner, using AI coding tools daily and building prototypes to inform strategic decisions.
- Elevate the platform product practice by modeling strong product thinking and mentoring other platform PMs.
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of product or platform leadership in technical environments.
- Deep experience with developer platforms, internal platforms, or technical B2B products.
- You're a practitioner, not just a strategist. You use AI coding tools (Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) and automation platforms (n8n, Zapier, Power Automate) every single day.
- Strong product fundamentals across the full lifecycle: discovery, synthesis, problem framing, roadmapping, stakeholder communication, and community building.
- Technical fluency with modern engineering practices: CI/CD pipelines, developer workflows, and the software development lifecycle.
- You've shipped complex, multi-stakeholder platforms for thousands of daily users.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience working on developer experience platforms, internal tooling, or DevOps products.
- Prior experience as an engineer or demonstrated technical building skills.
- AI platform or product experience, especially on AI-focused engineering tooling or AI in platform and infrastructure contexts.
