Oklo Inc. is hiring a Senior Process Controls Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and maintain process control systems for the fuel recycling facility, including scaling and ongoing monitoring.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams involved in facility layout, process equipment design, and regulatory licensing.
  • Create control systems that comply with both operational and regulatory standards.
  • Establish and document the facility's control strategy, including defining critical control parameters, setpoints, and operational logic.
  • Produce and evaluate technical control documentation such as instrument loops, logic diagrams, cause-and-effect charts, and interlock designs.
  • Develop and manage alarm and control methodologies, including prioritization, thresholds, and functional descriptions to enhance safety and operator response.
  • Specify the architecture of control systems, including hardware, software, and networking components for DCS, PLC, and HMI platforms.
  • Prepare technical materials required for submission to regulatory authorities.
