About the Role
This role involves conducting power system studies, modeling, and analysis to support the design and optimization of electrical infrastructure for diverse energy and industrial projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead power system modeling and simulation for transmission and distribution networks
- Perform load flow, short circuit, and stability studies
- Develop electrical system designs for renewable energy and industrial facilities
- Support grid interconnection studies and compliance assessments
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on project execution
- Review and interpret system protection schemes
- Prepare technical reports and documentation
- Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards and regulations
- Conduct power quality and harmonic analysis
- Support feasibility and conceptual design phases
- Coordinate with clients and stakeholders on technical requirements
- Assist in the development of system operation strategies
- Evaluate integration of distributed energy resources
- Perform arc flash and coordination studies
- Guide junior engineers in technical deliverables
- Contribute to project planning and scheduling
- Support procurement through technical specifications
- Participate in design reviews and technical meetings
- Troubleshoot electrical system performance issues
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of power system technologies
- Apply engineering software tools for analysis and modeling
- Ensure designs meet safety and reliability standards
- Support permitting and regulatory approval processes
- Work across sectors including renewables, transportation, and industrial
- Manage technical aspects of engineering deliverables
