Braze is hiring a Senior Payroll Analyst, North America

Braze is looking for a Senior Payroll Analyst, North America to lead our payroll operations. In this role, you will be responsible for processing semi-monthly payroll for approximately 800 U.S. and Canadian employees, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and providing critical reporting and analysis.

What You'll Do

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing for U.S. and Canadian employees on a semi-monthly basis, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state/provincial, and local payroll tax regulations and reporting requirements.
• Own payroll issue resolution, effectively collaborating and communicating with internal and external partners.
• Partner with People Operations, Benefits, and external vendors to ensure accurate benefit deductions and payroll-related transactions.
• Act as a subject matter expert and resource for payroll best practices, laws, and system capabilities.
• Assist with year-end activities, including W-2s, T4s, tax filings, and audits.
• Mentor and guide a Payroll Administrator.

What We're Looking For

• BA/BS in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field AND 7+ years of payroll processing experience, preferably across U.S. and Canadian payrolls.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state/provincial payroll tax regulations.
• Experience with payroll systems.
• Strong customer service focus with an ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
• Experience working in cross-functional environments.

Nice to Have

• ADP Workforce Now experience is strongly preferred.
• A Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or equivalent designation is a plus.
