This role focuses on improving manufacturing effectiveness through the development and deployment of Multivariate Statistical Process Controls (MSPC) and automated Functional Assessments. You'll identify critical process variables, establish responsive control systems, and lead investigations into performance gaps affecting yield, quality cost, and throughput. Your work will directly link process inputs to component outputs using statistical models and physics-based correlations.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and monitor key process indicators to detect shifts in capability
- Develop control strategies combining standard SPC frameworks with custom analytical methods
- Map relationships between process parameters and component performance using PFMEAs and characteristics matrices
- Conduct root cause analyses for persistent manufacturing challenges
- Apply DOE and statistical modeling to validate geometry-to-performance relationships
- Execute ad-hoc data queries and analyses to support business objectives
- Collaborate with engineering teams across locations and with external suppliers
- Guide project timelines and influence decision-makers to adopt data-driven solutions
- Travel to module centers, supplier sites, and operational events as needed
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field with at least five years of manufacturing operations experience is required; a Master’s degree with three years of relevant experience is also acceptable. Proficiency in statistical software such as Minitab, JMP, or MATLAB is essential, along with experience in data querying and database systems.
Preferred candidates will have Six Sigma Black Belt or Red-X Journeyman certification, advanced analytics experience including Principal Component Analysis and regression modeling, and technical skills in SQL, Python, and Databricks. Demonstrated ability to present findings to leadership is highly valued.
Work Environment
This is a remote position with up to 25% travel to support onsite initiatives. The role operates within a mission-driven culture that emphasizes curiosity, collaboration, and continuous growth. Flexible scheduling supports work-life balance while maintaining alignment with operational needs across time zones.
