In this senior leadership role, you will be responsible for the complete mechanical design on projects of all sizes and play a significant role in quality control and mentoring less experienced staff. This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule based in Urbandale, IA.
What You'll Do
- Provide a high level of leadership, mentoring, and training for less experienced staff.
- Be responsible for complete mechanical design for projects of all sizes, making major design recommendations and decisions with little input from senior staff.
- Plan design work, assign duties to staff, and review correspondence prepared by junior staff.
- Actively participate in and lead quality control reviews for large, complex projects.
- Act as an advisor, analyze technical problems, and write reports.
- Provide technical assistance to resolve field issues, including visiting project sites.
- Effectively serve as Project Manager on large complex projects or multiple smaller projects.
- Identify prospective clients, assist in marketing to develop new clients, prepare proposals, and consistently bring work into the firm.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Active Professional Engineer license.
- Minimum of 18 years of relevant engineering experience.

Work Mode
