The Process Engineer III at TEL is responsible for developing and optimizing process formulations and equipment specifications for semiconductor manufacturing. This role combines hands-on lab work, technical analysis, and collaboration with customers and cross-functional teams to advance process development and integration.
What You'll Do
- Develops new or modified process formulations
- Defines processing or handling equipment requirements and specifications
- Reviews processing techniques and methods applied in the manufacture, fabrication, and evaluation of products
- Understands and exploits the physics and mechanisms of the processes running on the equipment to achieve process goals
- Designs and execute process optimization experiments
- Characterizes, compiles, and analyzes test data to determine appropriate limits and variables for equipment, process, or material specifications
- Hands on work in the lab on the equipment and subsequent data analysis
- Responsible for quality execution of all experiments and material processed through the tool, including internal process development activities and customer demonstrations
- Collaborate with customer engineers and managers as a technical interface, managing input for customer demo and integration experiments
- Presents findings from experiments and data analysis to internal and external customers
- Participate in various integration and strategic activities relevant to this product and customer with internal business units
- Assist in troubleshooting field issues regarding tool performance
- Work in partnership with engineering teams, product team, sales and marketing groups, and other functional areas, to prepare changes, additions, and modifications which will facilitate customer adoption and improve quality of process equipment
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field with 5+ years professional Engineering experience
- Ability to successfully perform the essential functions of this job in an office and lab setting
- Ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, bend or stand as necessary
- Ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies up to 35 pounds
- Ability to work 4 to 6 hours per day at a computer screen/keyboard
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree preferred with 3+ years professional Engineering experience
- Specific experience with semiconductor equipment or similar fully automated capital equipment
- Experience with gas-cluster beam and / or ion implantation technology and etch
- Proven experience in the application of lean principles and formal problem-solving techniques
- Ability to speak Mandarin

Work Mode
