Responsibilities
- Leverage mechanical design expertise to deliver innovative, sustainable, and cost-effective outcomes across diverse sectors, primarily focusing on defence projects.
- Ensure projects meet client expectations and industry standards.
- Take ownership of mechanical design packages for major building projects.
- Ensure technical excellence in HVAC and building services systems.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to integrate various engineering disciplines and achieve cohesive project outcomes.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to graduate and junior engineers.
- Foster technical growth of junior engineers.
- Encourage a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
- Share best practices and insights from personal experience in the field.
- Proactively identify opportunities for improvement in design processes and methodologies.
- Prepare detailed technical design documentation under senior guidance.
- Incorporate sustainable mechanical design initiatives to enhance project efficiency and environmental impact.
- Collaborate with internal teams and clients to deliver coordinated solutions that address complex engineering challenges.
- Maintain strong working relationships with clients and team members.
- Contribute to repeat business through exceptional project delivery and client satisfaction.
Requirements
- Senior level mechanical engineering experience
- Expertise in mechanical design, particularly in HVAC and building services systems
- Ability to take ownership of mechanical design packages for major building projects
- Experience working on large, multi-disciplinary projects
- Proven ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Demonstrated experience in delivering projects to meet client expectations and industry standards
- Experience preparing detailed technical design documentation
- Experience incorporating sustainable design initiatives in mechanical systems
Nice to Have
- Experience in defence sector projects
