careers-geosyntec is looking for a Senior Marketing and Proposal Specialist to develop compliant, comprehensive, and compelling submittals that win profitable work. You will manage, schedule, edit, and produce proposals, SOQs, project descriptions, resumes, and other marketing materials in accordance with company policies and regulations.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate and lead all aspects of competitive proposal preparation from initial planning through delivery and post-award debriefs.
- Review and hone messages/win themes within written and visual information for client presentations; identify appropriate story-boarding of proposal layout.
- Draft content such as introductions, win themes, proof statements, relevant experience, and project team organizational charts.
- Ensure proposal/SOQ criteria and compliance, oversee production, and arrange for on-time deliveries.
- Develop scheduling and tracking systems for individual pursuit and proposal elements.
- Develop systems to extract, categorize, and retrieve information related to markets, clients, personnel, projects, and prior proposals.
- Identify business development leaders and help connect seller-doers across disciplines and branches.
- Track business development opportunities via Client Relationship Management system (CRM).
- Assist with research related to prior pursuit RFP/evaluation panel questions and gather information on potential client projects.
- Oversee staff in managing routine marketing collateral, keeping schedules, resumes, and project descriptions up to date.
- Develop branded presentations with targeted messaging.
- Create/approve news announcements for internal and external postings.
- Work with Branch teams to develop plans aligning with the company’s Strategic Plan.
- Conduct targeted market research to understand target audience preferences, drivers, competitors, and opportunities.
- Identify marketing candidates for office and local-regional needs.
- Manage awards competition entries and ensure compliance with award requirements.
- Analyze research data related to clients, competitors, and markets; present findings to leadership.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, communications, or public relations with six (6) years of progressive professional experience in engineering, architecture, or commercial construction, OR ten (10) years of directly related experience.
- Demonstrated writing skills, including critical and analytical thinking about document purpose and content improvement.
- Formatting, writing, editing, and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail.
- Windows proficiency including MS Professional (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, and typing ability.
- Ability to understand and follow complex oral and written instructions.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage workflow.
- Ability to work both collaboratively and independently to perform effectively under tight deadlines.
- Valid Canadian driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with Illustrator and some graphic design experience.
