MyStudio is hiring a Senior Manual QA Engineer (Ukraine, Remote)

MyStudio is hiring a Senior Manual QA Engineer to own test strategy and hands-on testing across web and mobile for our SaaS platform serving fitness and membership-based businesses. You will work closely with Engineering, Product, and Design to prevent bugs, tighten feedback loops, and ensure smooth releases.

What You'll Do

• Define, own, and evolve the test strategy for features and releases (risk-based planning, coverage, and exit criteria).
• Create and maintain test cases, checklists, and charters (functional, regression, smoke, and exploratory).
• Execute comprehensive manual testing across web and mobile (iOS/Android), including cross-browser, cross-device, and responsive checks.
• Perform API testing (e.g., Postman), validate payloads, status codes, and contracts; verify data integrity with basic SQL.
• Drive release readiness: coordinate test cycles, maintain regression suites, and provide clear go/no-go signals.
• Log, triage, and track defects end-to-end with high-quality reproduction steps, evidence, and impact.
• Collaborate with PM/Design on acceptance criteria, edge cases, and usability; advocate for accessibility and performance basics.
• Partner with engineers to debug via logs/devtools, Charles Proxy, Android Studio/Xcode simulators, ADB, etc.
• Improve QA process and tooling (test data management, environments, metrics, and reporting).
• Contribute to automation for smoke/regression (pair with SDETs; seed scripts where it saves the most time).

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years in QA with strong manual testing expertise for web and/or mobile apps.
• Proven experience designing test plans and risk-based coverage for complex products.
• Deep exploratory testing skills; ability to uncover edge cases and systemic issues.
• Solid API testing skills (Postman/Insomnia); basic SQL for data validation.
• Hands-on with browser DevTools, Charles/Proxyman, Android Studio/Xcode, logs, and build artifacts.
• Experience with Jira (or similar) for defect tracking and TestRail (or similar) for test management.
• Strong communication in English; comfortable working closely with engineers and product in an Agile environment.
• Ownership mindset, bias for action, and excellent attention to detail.

Nice to Have

• Automation testing experience is a plus (not required).
• Experience with Playwright, Cypress, WebdriverIO, or Selenium for UI automation is a big plus.
