Responsibilities
- Lead and grow a multi-site team of industrial designers through mentorship and professional development initiatives.
- Define and direct the design vision for various product lines, including portable and desktop SSDs, USB drives, memory cards, card readers, and related accessories.
- Manage the full design lifecycle, from initial research and ideation to final design validation and manufacturing handoff.
- Maintain strong brand alignment by working closely with visual identity and creative teams.
- Collaborate with product management to integrate emerging technologies into user-centered product innovations.
- Work with insights and marketing leaders to shape design solutions tailored to specific customer segments and usage scenarios.
- Ensure design quality is preserved throughout development, including design for manufacturing, tooling reviews, and production samples.
- Improve team performance by identifying and implementing new design tools, workflows, training programs, and resources.
- Oversee operational aspects such as budget planning, vendor coordination, and contractor management.
