Scout Motors is hiring a Senior Manager, FP&A to lead core financial processes and serve as a key thought partner to senior leadership. You will own major components of our financial planning, forecasting, and performance management framework, translating complex data into clear insights that inform executive decision-making.
What You'll Do
- Own and drive key components of the Annual Operating Plan, rolling forecasts, and multi-scenario modeling, including framing assumptions and recommendations for leadership.
- Lead the financial narrative for executive leadership, preparing materials for Executive Leadership Team and Board-level reporting.
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting package creation and accuracy.
- Act as the primary FP&A partner to senior functional leaders, influencing strategic decisions with data-driven insights.
- Develop financial models to support strategic initiatives.
- Analyze complex financial information to deliver accurate and timely recommendations to senior management.
- Define, own, and evolve key performance indicators and performance management frameworks.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of analysts, setting standards and scaling team capabilities.
- Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of reports, tools, and models.
What We're Looking For
- A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a closely related field.
- A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in finance, FP&A, investment banking, or private equity-backed environments.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent oral, written communication, and presentation skills for C-suite executives.
- Demonstrated ability to lead ambiguous, complex analyses and synthesize recommendations for senior executives.
- Proven experience owning end-to-end FP&A processes with limited oversight.
- Highly organized, meticulous, with excellent time management skills for a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to approach requests with a proactive and consultative manner.
- Experience managing a team of 2-3+ analysts in delivering accurate and timely work products.
- Player-Coach mentality, willing to be hands-on and talk strategy when needed.
- Ability to serve as a delegate for Senior Finance leadership in meetings and cross-functional forums.
