Gridlines is hiring a Senior Manager - Financial Model Build to lead the creation, optimization, and analysis of financial models that drive strategic decisions. In this role, you will manage a portfolio of assignments and a team of professionals while contributing to the growth of our business.
What You'll Do
- Manage a portfolio of active assignments.
- Lead the creation and optimization of comprehensive financial models to support strategic decision-making.
- Develop and refine assumptions, parameters, and scenarios to ensure model robustness.
- Discuss commercial issues with clients and ensure they are accurately reflected in the model.
- Perform sensitivity analysis and stress testing to validate model assumptions and outputs.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of financial modeling methodologies and tools.
- Prepare comprehensive model documentation detailing assumptions, methodologies, and results.
- Maintain meticulous records of modeling processes and methodologies.
- Lead in developing project plans, timelines, and resource allocation for efficient project delivery.
- Lead a team of modeling professionals.
- Train, motivate, and manage junior team members on assignments.
- Collaborate closely with team members, learning and contributing to assignments.
- Communicate model findings and insights effectively to clients and internal teams.
- Simplify complex financial model issues for non-technical stakeholders.
- Support business development and growth ambitions of a key sector of the business.
- Lead in the development of client pitches.
- Lead client calls and build client relationships.
What We're Looking For
- 4-7 years of relevant experience in a financial role within a recognized advisory practice or large corporate setting.
- Good appreciation of accounting concepts.
- In-depth understanding of Project Finance, Corporate Finance, or Financial Planning concepts.
- Strong analytical skills with proven experience in building and operating financial models using Excel.
- Degree qualified in a numerate discipline.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.

Nice to Have
- Accounting qualification.
- Postgraduate qualification in accounting or finance.
- Experience with the FAST financial modeling standard.
