Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors is hiring a Senior Manager, Engineering to lead multiple teams responsible for building and evolving a critical Accounting software platform that supports our Fund Administration and Investor Reporting. You will set a strong technical and strategic vision, mentor engineers and managers, and help drive the delivery of impactful, scalable solutions.
What You'll Do
- Lead and scale multiple engineering teams to deliver high-impact Accounting software solutions.
- Define team goals, manage roadmaps, and guide long-term technical direction and architecture.
- Champion AI-native development tools and foster a culture of innovation and rapid iteration.
- Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to ensure delivery of business-critical features.
- Own team hiring strategy, organizational design, and build diverse, high-performing teams.
- Provide coaching and professional development to engineering managers and tech leads.
- Oversee operational health, production support, and incident management of owned services.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration, manage interdependencies, and resolve conflicts autonomously.
- Establish and promote engineering best practices to improve code quality, velocity, and team effectiveness.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- 3+ years of experience managing engineering teams, including experience managing other managers.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with ability to influence technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proven experience delivering scalable and reliable software systems in agile environments.
- Deep understanding of service-oriented architecture and modern software development practices.
- Demonstrated product mindset and ability to align technical solutions with business goals.
- Hands-on technical leadership, with background in system design and architectural decisions.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
