CrossCountry Mortgage is hiring a Senior Loan Processor to manage the complete loan documentation and underwriting process, providing direct customer and loan officer support. This role primarily operates within Pacific Time zone working hours to serve our West Coast region.
What You'll Do
- Perform a thorough review and analysis of borrower’s credit, employment, income, and assets before submitting to underwriting.
- Assemble the complete loan package in proper order and verify all required pre-underwriting documentation.
- Complete the required loan checklist and verify application accuracy, identifying potential underwriting issues.
- Prepare loan approval summaries and ensure the accuracy of Forms 1008 and 1003.
- Communicate directly with the Loan Originator, customer, and underwriter to obtain required documentation.
- Review loans for compliance with all mortgage-related regulations (RESPA, TIL, HMDA, Reg. B, etc.) and prepare required disclosures.
- Communicate with vendors to obtain Property Surveys, Flood Certificates, Title Commitments, and payoff information.
- Verify vendor order completion and manage invoice filing.
- Manage pipeline by completing and submitting reports within allotted turn-around times.
- Assist with loan setup and document all loan application communication in the conversation log.
- Train and help supervise new loan processors and other processing personnel.
- Assist closing, secondary marketing, and loan servicing departments to clear outstanding suspense items.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 5 years’ residential mortgage processing experience.
- Excellent math and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Available to work varying hours and overtime if needed.
- Encompass experience.
Nice to Have
- Working knowledge of RESPA regulations and general knowledge of all mortgage and consumer lending regulations, including but not limited to Regulation Z and Regulation B requirements, and loan documents.
