Celestica is hiring a Senior BIOS Lead Engineer, Software to develop, debug, and deploy code for systems across multiple applications. In this role, you will write and test software across the hierarchy, from firmware to application layers, while working within cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality product outcomes.
What You'll Do
- Define and build common BIOS features/modules and develop Celestica feature specifications and implementation guides.
- Collaborate with Independent BIOS Vendors (IBV) and lead cross-functional teams to develop BIOS, investigate and fix issues for production, and implement all BIOS features on schedule.
- Work closely with related vendors to drive their product and technology to meet Celestica requirements.
- Consider Celestica customer requirements to develop customized features and provide strong customer service.
What We're Looking For
- A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent field.
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in BIOS/UEFI Firmware development.
- Deep understanding of x86 architecture and PC industry standards such as PCIe, ACPI, JEDEC, USB, ATA, IPMI, and Redfish.
- Solid experience with BIOS/UEFI firmware frameworks/code structures and/or IBV BIOS code like AMI, Insyde, or Phoenix project code.
- Familiarity with Intel PI SPEC, EDK I, and EDK II.
- Excellent debug and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication skills in English.
Nice to Have
- Experience with RAS (Reliability, Availability, Serviceability) is preferred.
