NVIDIA is hiring a Firmware Engineer to serve as a critical link between teams, solving sophisticated technical challenges that help customers build the next generation of supercomputers and AI fabrics.
What You'll Do
- Investigate, debug, and resolve challenging PCIe firmware issues for important customers, serving as their trusted technical expert.
- Partner with Chip Design, Software, and Architecture engineers to find root causes and develop robust, long-term solutions.
- Translate customer needs and field data into actionable feedback that directly shapes the future of products.
- Help improve team processes and contribute to the knowledge base to make everyone more effective.
What We're Looking For
- A degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of significant professional experience in embedded firmware development, with a deep understanding of PCIe.
- A strong foundation in computer architecture, operating systems, and object-oriented programming.
- A proactive and curious approach with a passion for continuous learning and problem-solving.
- Clarity in explaining complex technical issues to both customers and engineering peers.
- Experience using scripting languages like Python or Bash to automate tasks.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience in a customer-facing or application engineering role.
- Direct experience with PCIe switch architecture and firmware.
- Deep knowledge of hardware verification concepts and tools (C++, Jenkins).
- Expertise in networking protocols and the Linux operating system.

Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation: $184,000 USD - $287,500 USD for Level 4, and $224,000 USD - $356,500 USD for Level 5.
