Role Overview
As an Edge Engineer, you will be responsible for deploying and maintaining computer vision hardware in industrial and field environments. Your work will ensure that edge systems operate reliably and efficiently, directly supporting real-world AI applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble, configure, and validate edge computing devices, including Jetson units, sensors, cameras, and supporting hardware
- Lead on-site installations, including physical mounting, cabling, power setup, and network integration
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, connectivity, and inference issues in customer environments
- Ensure seamless integration between edge devices and cloud software via RTSP, SSH, and VPN
- Maintain inventory of components and manage reordering to support deployment timelines
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, wiring schematics, and standard operating procedures
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to relay field insights and improve system design
- Automate configuration and deployment tasks using Python and Bash scripting
- Support Linux-based systems, including network interface management and Docker container operations
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience with embedded systems such as NVIDIA Jetson or industrial camera setups
- Familiarity with computer vision inference workflows and edge deployment pipelines
- Strong troubleshooting skills, especially under field constraints
- Ability to work independently while knowing when to escalate complex issues
- Experience with Linux system administration, networking tools, and shell scripting
- Clear communication skills for both technical documentation and cross-team collaboration
Preferred Experience
- Working knowledge of PoE or IP cameras from vendors like Basler or Lucid Vision
- Understanding of electrical safety and industrial deployment protocols
- Background in building telemetry or remote monitoring systems for edge hardware
Work Environment
This is a hybrid role with flexibility to work remotely, from co-working spaces, or at company hubs. You’ll travel frequently—up to 75%—to customer locations. The schedule supports both synchronous collaboration and asynchronous progress.

- Base salary range: $95,000 – $105,000 OTE
