Kyndryl is looking for a Senior Lead, Contracts & Negotiations to join our team in Madrid. This professional provides specialist contract support to Kyndryl's business teams, acting as a trusted advisor on contract design, drafting, review, negotiation, and management for client engagements. You will serve as the main liaison with client legal counsel and procurement.
What You'll Do
- Provide commercial and contract guidance to the business organization and other functions.
- Draft and negotiate agreements specifying business relationships between Kyndryl and clients, alliances, partners, and other companies.
- Support account teams by managing contracts through post-signing activities like amendments, formal communications, extensions, and terminations.
- Advise Business Teams on legal, commercial, and operational risks in contracts.
- Set out mutually acceptable positions for Kyndryl and clients while protecting Kyndryl’s interests.
- Work with Business Teams to assess risk profiles of deals and develop mitigation strategies.
- Agree on negotiation positions with Business Teams prior to client engagement.
- Liaise with other C&N Contract Professionals and the wider Kyndryl Legal Team on specialist areas.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts on contract documentation.
- Provide clarity and advice on key negotiation positions, their implications, and potential solutions.
- Establish and build relationships with clients, serving as the focal point with their legal counsel and procurement consultants.
- Interface with teams in other countries on international contracts to ensure agreements reflect Kyndryl's capabilities.
- Provide proactive support to assigned Priority Accounts based on insights from Account Teams.
What We're Looking For
- Undergraduate degree, preferably in business or law.
- 1-3 years of experience in contract management and/or negotiations.
- Professional working proficiency in Spanish and English.
- Ability to work at Kyndryl’s Madrid office.
- Ability to communicate effectively and negotiate with all levels within Kyndryl, clients, suppliers, and partners.
Nice to Have
- Experience in the technology services sector.
- Experience negotiating opposite sophisticated inside and outside counsels.
- Relevant in-house experience in a multi-national organisation.
Team & Environment
C&N Contract Professionals report directly to a C&N team manager who reports to a C&N regional manager. Regional managers report to a global C&N executive. This role is part of the specialized Contracts & Negotiations organization within Kyndryl’s Global Legal Department.
