Babcock International is looking for a Senior IT Project Manager to lead the digital transformation underpinning national security. You will manage high‑value, strategically important IT projects that enhance how teams operate, collaborate, and protect national interests. Your work will shape and deliver complex technology programmes modernising systems, improving user experience, and connecting thousands of people working in critical defence, aerospace, and engineering environments.
What You'll Do
- Ensure implementation of structured project management processes to deliver business value from IT projects.
- Develop project plans, assign tasks, and direct and monitor daily work activities across multiple teams.
- Oversee project quality through regular review, ensuring risks, issues, and dependencies are managed proactively.
- Track key milestones and make adjustments to plans or resources to meet customer and business needs.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation in line with Babcock’s IT Project Management standards.
What We're Looking For
- An experienced IT professional, committed to delivering cost‑effective and efficient project outcomes.
- Demonstrable experience in IT software application project management.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project (Project Server experience preferred).
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously (typically four or five).
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- PRINCE, APM or equivalent project management certification.
- Ability to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) / Security Check (SC) security clearance.
