A1 Garage Door Service is hiring a Senior IT Administrator to lead the management and security of our technology infrastructure. This role focuses on the Microsoft stack, ensuring high availability and protection for our systems across the organization. You will provide strategic direction, hands-on technical leadership, and mentorship for our IT team.

What You'll Do

• Implement and maintain the company’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and storage systems.
• Monitor system performance to ensure high availability of IT services.
• Configure, monitor, and maintain firewalls and remote VPN connections.
• Plan and oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software.
• Develop and enforce security policies and procedures to protect organizational data and systems.
• Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
• Manage firewalls, antivirus software, and other security tools.
• Provide advanced technical support to resolve complex IT issues and escalations.
• Provide hardware and software support to remote and local users.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving network and system problems.
• Oversee the helpdesk team to ensure efficient user support.
• Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, supporting their development.
• Coordinate with other departments to identify and address their IT needs.
• Manage IT projects, including resource allocation and timeline adherence.
• Assist with developing and implementing long-term IT strategies aligned with company goals.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in IT administration.
• At least 3 years in a senior or leadership role.
• Proven experience in network and system administration, IT security, and technical support.
• Extensive experience with Windows 11 desktop OS and Apple iOS products.
• Extensive experience in Microsoft 365 and Entra ID administration.
• Extensive experience in IT security.
• Experience working with Windows, MacOS, iOS, and Android operating systems.
• SharePoint administration experience: site creation, security, and document management.
• Experience managing MDM systems including Intune.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 Defender.
• In-depth knowledge of network protocols, routing, and switching.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Exceptional ability and willingness to provide technical support and resolve issues.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Leadership and management abilities, with a focus on team development.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Nice to Have

• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft, PMP, CISSP).
• Multi-location experience is preferred, as we operate in 30+ locations.
