Bank of America is looking for a Senior Information Security Officer to join our team supporting the Chief People Office. You will be a member of the Business Information Security Officer's (BISO) organization, working closely with Front Line Unit and Operations executives to develop a deep business understanding. Your role involves specialized, risk-based discussions and providing expert guidance on information security topics, policies, and controls.
What You'll Do
- Contribute to the ongoing development, implementation, and maintenance of information security initiatives for Front Line Units and Operations.
- Serve as an Information Security subject matter expert, advising management on risk issues and recommending actions in support of the bank's risk management and compliance programs.
- Provide guidance and advocacy regarding the prioritization of investments that impact information security.
- Monitor information security trends internal and external to the bank and keep leadership informed.
- Manage quality control and reporting while ensuring compliance with policies and laws.
- Drive GIS, FLU, and Ops risk deliverables and collaborate with risk partners on critical information security priorities.
- Participate in senior FLU/Ops specific Risk Management & Business Continuity Routines.
- Identify and measure global information security controls on the most critical business processes or channels.
- Build strong partner relationships with peer technology groups and supported FLU/Ops teams.
- Support the triage process with clients and help them understand the GIS support structure.
- Drive the required risk culture and partnership with peer technology teams and supported FLU/Ops.
- Participate in key operating routines to drive information security risk strategy.
What We're Looking For
- Information Security & Technology professional with 10+ years of experience.
- 5+ years of risk management experience with proven ability to apply risk principles to challenging business situations.
- Subject matter expertise in application security, vulnerability testing, and development of risk appetite.
- Experience evaluating cyber security controls and providing guidance for platform or distributed computing platforms (Cloud, PaaS).
- Experience with information security for No SQL, Big Data, and unstructured data stores (Cassandra, Hadoop, and/or Teradata).
- Knowledge in Windows, Midrange and Mainframe Platforms with emphasis on security and access controls.
- Exceptional executive presentation and communication skills.
- Excellent influencing and problem resolution skills.
- Ability to deliver messages across a wide spectrum of individuals with varying technical understanding.
- Strong leadership skills and qualities enabling collaboration with peers and various management levels.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
