GXO Logistics is hiring a Senior Industrial Engineer to optimize our warehouse and logistics operations. In this role, you will be challenged to find ways to improve productivity, develop strategies for smarter work, and create the standards that drive efficiency.
What You'll Do
- Identify facility design requirements based on activity levels, product profiles, and flow methods
- Specify material handling, storage equipment, and automation solutions
- Identify office equipment and facility up-fit requirements
- Create equipment and supply lists and provide purchase requisitions
- Develop IT hardware and cabling requirements based on work content
- Establish tasks and processes required to complete proposed work content
- Develop work instructions and update standard operating procedures
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent work or military experience
- 2+ years of engineering experience in supply chain management, logistics, or warehousing
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Experience in an AS9100 or ISO9001 production environment
Nice to Have
- APICS certification
- Third-Party Logistics (3PL) experience
- Extensive experience in quality, engineering, lean manufacturing, and work cell manufacturing
- Ability to identify best practices in a high-volume production environment
- Experience with analytical tools such as flowcharts, Pareto charts, and cause and effect diagrams
- Project and resource management experience
