About the Role

Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP is hiring a Senior Human Resources Recruiter to perform full-cycle recruitment for Business Services Professional positions in our New York and White Plains offices. You’ll lead our internship programs and Legal Practice Assistant hiring, oversee onboarding and orientation, and serve as a key resource for HR recruitment practices and firm policies.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform full-cycle recruitment for Business Services Professional positions.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to develop recruitment strategies and screen resumes.
  • Schedule and conduct interviews, utilizing the applicant tracking system.
  • Leverage data and analytics to implement tactics aligned with hiring strategy.
  • Work closely with hiring managers to understand hiring needs and meet competitive goals.
  • Proactively seek feedback from hiring managers on recruiting strategies.
  • Facilitate the offer and onboarding process for new hires, including creating offer letters and reviewing background checks.
  • Lead the coordination and administration of the summer internship program.
  • Maintain relationships with non-profit organizations and schools.
  • Lead the Legal Practice Assistant recruitment process for New York.
  • Lead new hire orientation ensuring robust delivery of content.
  • Review, revise, and share updates to the new hire orientation.
  • Coordinate new hire orientation schedule.
  • Make appropriate salary recommendations based on experience and internal equity.
  • Partner with hiring managers to develop job descriptions.
  • Create and maintain recruitment step-by-step guides and email templates.
  • Train new hires in the Human Resources department on recruitment and orientation processes.
  • Collaborate and provide feedback to HRIS regarding Workday ATS.
  • Maintain contact with external employment agencies and attend career fairs.
  • Ensure recruitment efforts comply with EEO and OFCCP federal regulations.
  • Seek to enhance knowledge of Human Resources procedures and processes.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of five years of related Human Resources experience, including full-cycle recruitment
  • Current knowledge of Human Resources practices, techniques, and business trends
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local labor and regulatory requirements
  • Knowledge of relevant firm computer software programs (e.g., Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Broad and thorough knowledge of Excel and MS Word
  • Understanding of employee database applications
  • Demonstrates close attention to detail
  • Demonstrates effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
