Tabeo Ltd. is looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to manage key financial operations in a fully remote environment. You will be responsible for the accuracy and integrity of financial records, preparing management accounts, and providing insights that support decision-making and shape the company's growth trajectory.
What You'll Do
- Prepare monthly management accounts, financial statements, and supporting schedules.
- Ensure all financial records comply with UK accounting standards (UK GAAP) and tax laws.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, financial forecasts, and cash flow management.
- Provide analysis and insights on variances and financial performance.
- Maintain the integrity of the company's financial systems, ensuring timely and accurate reconciliations.
- Lead and manage the month-end close process, ensuring accurate recording and accruals.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns and other tax filings.
- Assist in the preparation of corporation tax returns, liaising with external auditors and advisors.
- Monitor and manage company cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity.
- Help develop and maintain robust internal control procedures.
- Support the Group Financial Controller in preparing reports for stakeholders and investors.
- Provide mentorship and support to junior finance staff.
- Assist with annual audit preparation.
- Identify and implement improvements in financial processes and systems.
What We're Looking For
- ACA or ACCA qualified with 2-3 years of post-qualification experience, ideally from a Big 4 firm.
- Strong technical expertise in financial accounting, audit, and UK GAAP.
- Proven experience in a financial accounting role, with a deep understanding of financial reporting and controls.
- Experience managing month-end close, preparing management accounts, and working with complex data.
- Advanced knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage) and Excel.
- Experience with VAT returns, corporation tax filings, and UK tax compliance.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Comfortable working remotely, managing time effectively and collaborating across time zones.
- Proven ability to build relationships and influence senior stakeholders in a small to medium-sized business.
Nice to Have
- Experience with financial systems implementation, process improvements, or business transformations.
- Strong project management skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with SaaS business models and software revenue recognition principles.
- Experience working with investors or external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of international accounting standards and multi-currency accounting.
