What You'll Do
Oversee the design, execution, and refinement of key Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) programs, including driver safety, radiation and biohazard controls, emergency planning, ergonomics, and employee medical monitoring. Ensure all initiatives meet Dutch legal requirements and align with broader regional and global EHS objectives.
Act as Prevention Advisor for one or more commercial sites in the Netherlands, maintaining preventive medical examination protocols across all locations. Lead risk assessments to identify and reduce workplace hazards, minimize environmental impacts, and uphold compliance through structured controls and monitoring.
Collaborate with internal teams across functions and levels to embed EHS considerations into daily operations and strategic decisions. Support field-based employees working in clinical environments by providing technical guidance and promoting safe practices.
Engage with external agencies such as fire departments, environmental authorities, and occupational health regulators to maintain compliance and strengthen safety partnerships. Lead incident investigations, conduct root cause analyses, and implement corrective actions within defined timelines.
Facilitate EHS committee meetings, contribute to management reporting, and support communication efforts through newsletters and engagement activities. Participate in audits and drive continuous improvement through data-driven insights and process enhancements.
Requirements
- Relevant qualification such as a NEBOSH Certificate, EHS accreditation, or degree in Engineering, Science, or Environmental Health and Safety
- Minimum of 5 years of professional EHS experience, including time in a Prevention Advisor role
- Proven understanding of Dutch EHS legislation and risk management principles
- Fluency in both Dutch and English
- At least 2 years of experience delivering training sessions or managing projects
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Highly organized with the ability to work independently, manage priorities, and adapt to evolving demands
- Demonstrated initiative, teamwork, and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
