About the Role

Responsibilities
- Perform precision welding using MIG, TIG, and stick methods on various metals
- Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and blueprints
- Construct, modify, and repair metal structures and components
- Operate fabrication machinery including plasma cutters, press brakes, and grinders
- Support design and development of prototypes
- Ensure all work meets specified tolerances and quality standards
- Maintain accurate documentation of fabrication processes
- Collaborate with engineers to refine manufacturing techniques
- Inspect finished products for defects and dimensional accuracy
- Troubleshoot and resolve fabrication issues
- Follow safety protocols when handling heavy materials and equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Assist in material selection and sourcing
- Conduct routine maintenance on welding and fabrication tools
- Adhere to project timelines and production schedules
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in the workshop
- Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Perform fit-up and alignment of components prior to welding
- Work with stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel
- Assist in testing and validating structural integrity
- Provide feedback on design feasibility and manufacturability
- Ensure compliance with industry codes and standards
- Participate in team meetings and technical reviews
- Train junior technicians on safe and effective practices
- Respond to engineering change orders promptly
