About the Role
This position is for a recent engineering graduate who will help refine manufacturing processes, support product development, and ensure smooth production ramp-ups through technical problem-solving and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and quality
- Work with cross-functional teams to transition designs into production
- Identify and resolve production issues in real time
- Support the implementation of process controls and standard work instructions
- Conduct root cause analysis for defects and implement corrective actions
- Collaborate with design engineers to enhance product manufacturability
- Evaluate new manufacturing technologies and methods
- Lead process validation and qualification activities
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
- Track and report key performance metrics for manufacturing operations
- Assist in scaling production for new product introductions
- Use data to drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage documentation for manufacturing procedures
- Support equipment installation and process setup
- Participate in design for assembly and test activities
- Troubleshoot tooling and fixture performance
- Monitor production yield and recommend improvements
- Coordinate with suppliers on process consistency
- Implement lean manufacturing principles
- Train production staff on updated processes
Nice to Have
- Experience with automation systems
- Knowledge of injection molding or stamping processes
- Exposure to Six Sigma or lean manufacturing projects
- Internship or co-op experience in manufacturing
- Familiarity with ERP or MES systems
