About the Role
The Construction Field Technician Trainee will work on project sites to support field activities, gain practical experience, and assist in ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting site inspections and documenting field conditions
- Support data collection for construction progress and quality checks
- Handle tools and equipment under supervision during field operations
- Learn to interpret construction drawings and project specifications
- Participate in verifying material installations against design plans
- Help maintain accurate field records and daily reports
- Observe and follow safety protocols on active construction sites
- Support surveying and layout verification tasks
- Assist in identifying discrepancies between plans and field work
- Learn proper use of field measurement instruments
- Work alongside technicians and engineers to understand project workflows
- Transport equipment and supplies between locations as needed
- Assist in preparing documentation for submittals and inspections
- Follow instructions for testing and sampling procedures
- Report field observations to supervising personnel
- Maintain organization of field tools and materials
- Support coordination between on-site and office teams
- Learn to use digital tools for field data entry
- Attend project meetings and safety briefings
- Adhere to environmental and regulatory guidelines during operations
Compensation
