What You'll Do
Lead the design and evolution of ERP data integration systems, ensuring data is consistently available, secure, and ready for downstream use. Own the full lifecycle of backend services that support mission-critical operations, with a focus on scalability, resilience, and performance. Act as a key technical liaison between business stakeholders and engineering teams, translating requirements into robust, maintainable solutions.
Drive architectural improvements across distributed systems, implementing APIs and foundational components that empower broader team velocity. Collaborate closely with engineering teams in the US, Singapore, and China, adapting to overlapping work hours to support global coordination. Maintain and enhance existing services with a focus on observability, automation, and self-healing capabilities.
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, with at least 8 years of professional experience
- Demonstrate deep proficiency in one or more backend languages, particularly Python, with strong architectural experience in Go, Java, or Node.js
- Possess extensive experience with distributed systems, including message queues like Kafka, RMQ, or SQS, and a variety of data stores such as MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis, and others
- Show proven success in building and operating highly available systems (99.99%+ uptime) with low latency and strong recovery mechanisms
- Have hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and container orchestration using Kubernetes and Docker
- Understand microservice architecture, API gateway patterns, and service observability through logging, tracing, and metrics
- Exhibit strong analytical skills, with the ability to model complex business logic into scalable technical designs
- Communicate effectively with engineers, product partners, and leadership, clearly conveying technical direction and system trade-offs
- Have prior experience mentoring developers or leading small engineering efforts, with a mindset of ownership and continuous improvement
