Responsibilities
- Own the developer feedback loops, including CI/CD, testing, dependency management, and tooling that enable the entire organization to ship faster and more safely.
- Lead AI-partnered development by incubating the next phase of AI-assisted engineering at the company, for both human engineers and agents, and integrating observability into that work.
- Prove the ROI by defining and tracking developer productivity and satisfaction metrics that give leadership confidence in the team's impact.
- Lead change across the organization by bringing engineers inside and outside your team along, helping them welcome change rather than resist it.
- Grow the team by supporting engineers and your manager community through one-on-ones, career development, and feedback loops.
Requirements
- Sustained, multi-year experience leading an engineering enablement or developer experience team, with enough tenure in prior roles to have steered large-scale change over time.
- Fluency in CI/CD.
- A track record of defining and tracking developer productivity or ROI metrics, including the ability to establish the metrics program, not just consume it.
- Cross-organization change leadership, ideally having led an organization through a major workflow change or AI rollout.
- Real depth with AI tooling.
- The ability to distinguish good from bad AI usage and to articulate your own AI philosophy.
- Familiarity with observability or OpenTelemetry, the company's domain.
- Experience running an internal platform or tooling as a product, with internal engineers as your customers.
Nice to Have
- You are still hands-on and enjoy contributing to and reviewing code, though it will not be your primary role here.
- You have built your own AI-driven projects and tools.
