Responsibilities
- Guide the growth and development of engineering managers and senior technical staff
- Establish clear team objectives and ensure alignment with company strategy
- Drive engineering excellence through code quality, system reliability, and best practices
- Collaborate with product and design leaders to define roadmap priorities
- Implement scalable processes that support rapid iteration and delivery
- Mentor team members in technical decision-making and career progression
- Oversee the health and performance of production systems
- Promote a culture of feedback, inclusion, and psychological safety
- Manage resource allocation and capacity planning across teams
- Evaluate and adopt tools and technologies that improve developer productivity
- Lead incident response and post-mortem processes to prevent future issues
- Ensure engineering compliance with security and data privacy standards
- Facilitate cross-team collaboration to eliminate silos and dependencies
- Champion agile methodologies tailored to team needs
- Monitor key engineering metrics and report on team performance
- Support hiring initiatives by identifying talent gaps and sourcing strategies
- Drive initiatives to reduce technical debt and improve system architecture
- Represent engineering in executive discussions and planning sessions
- Foster innovation through experimentation and proof-of-concept projects
- Ensure onboarding processes enable rapid team integration for new hires
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree in a technical or management discipline
- Experience in ad tech or digital marketing platforms
- Background in high-scale data processing systems
- Prior work in remote-first or global engineering teams
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and container orchestration
