Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain low-latency trading engines for real-time execution.
- Optimize system performance under high-throughput conditions.
- Ensure data integrity and consistency across trading operations.
- Collaborate with compliance teams to enforce regulatory requirements.
- Design fault-tolerant systems with comprehensive monitoring and alerting.
- Work closely with product managers to define technical requirements.
- Implement secure APIs for internal and external trading interfaces.
- Support audit workflows and regulatory reporting needs.
- Troubleshoot production issues with minimal downtime.
- Contribute to code reviews and uphold engineering best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 6+ years of software engineering experience in high-performance systems.
- Proven experience with distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
- Strong proficiency in Go, Java, or similar backend languages.
- Experience with message queues such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Familiarity with financial trading protocols and order matching logic.
- Knowledge of database systems including PostgreSQL and Redis.
- Understanding of regulatory environments in financial services.
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or GCP.
- Strong debugging and performance profiling skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in fintech, crypto, or capital markets infrastructure.
- Background in building exchange or brokerage systems.
- Familiarity with FIX protocol or similar trading standards.
- Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools.
- Knowledge of cryptographic principles and digital asset handling.
