About the Role
The SCCM Administrator will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing the SCCM environment, supporting large-scale software distribution, compliance policies, and operating system deployments while ensuring system performance and security standards are met.
Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain SCCM infrastructure across multiple environments
- Deploy and manage software packages and updates enterprise-wide
- Configure and monitor patch management workflows
- Support OS deployment and imaging processes using SCCM tools
- Monitor system health and performance of SCCM components
- Troubleshoot configuration and deployment issues
- Maintain compliance baselines and security configurations
- Create and manage configuration items and baselines
- Support remote client management and inventory collection
- Develop and maintain deployment documentation
- Collaborate with security and network teams on policy alignment
- Optimize SCCM reporting and monitoring capabilities
- Manage distribution points and content distribution
- Ensure high availability of SCCM services
- Participate in change control and release management processes
- Support hardware and software inventory operations
- Implement and manage endpoint protection policies
- Assist with disaster recovery planning for SCCM systems
- Stay current with SCCM feature updates and Microsoft best practices
- Provide technical guidance to junior team members
Nice to Have
- Experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager
- Familiarity with cloud-based management solutions
- Knowledge of Intune or co-management scenarios
- Experience with automation and orchestration tools
- Background in virtualized environments
