About the Role

Samsung Electronics America, Inc. is looking for a Senior Engineer to perform semiconductor engineering research, design, development, and testing for its products. You will be responsible for System Verilog RTL verification for the development of power-efficient mobile graphic processors, focusing on the programmable shader subsystem of a low-power GPU.

What You'll Do

  • Verify the microarchitecture specifications of shader subsystem Graphic Processor blocks through close interaction with implementation and micro-architecture engineers.
  • Generate high-quality, well-documented, and extensible testbench infrastructures.
  • Assist with the bring-up of complex interactions among various shader sub-blocks.
  • Assist power and performance teams in measuring and verifying the design's quality of results.
  • Debug, repair, and verify logic issues and bugs in both RTL and gate-level netlists.
  • Develop and monitor a comprehensive test suite for regressions.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field plus six (6) years of related experience.
  • Programming skills in Perl, Python, and C/C++.
  • Experience with RTL verification flow and environments including UVM/OVM, hardware modeling, and assertions.
  • Experience with Verilog/System Verilog coding.

Nice to Have

  • Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field plus four (4) years of related experience.

You will work closely with the implementation and micro-architecture teams.
