The Boeing Company is hiring a Senior Employee Development Specialist focused on mechanical instruction within the Boeing Defense, Space and Security Production System Training organization. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality training programs focused on mechanical skills and certification for technicians building mechanical assemblies.
What You'll Do
- Deliver engaging training content covering mechanical skills, including interpreting drawings and work instructions for assembling sub-assemblies and final products
- Conduct hands-on lab exercises focusing on the safe use of hand and power tools for installation, torque application, and sealing of assemblies
- Assess training effectiveness and make adjustments based on participant feedback and learning outcomes
- Perform assessments to evaluate comprehension and certification of employees
- Conduct workplace coaching to enhance the application of skills learned in training
- Deploy development tools and resources to support ongoing learning and performance improvement
- Consult with business partners to identify performance development opportunities and analyze training needs
- Plan, implement, and evaluate learning strategies tailored to organizational needs
- Monitor and evaluate performance needs and outcomes to ensure training effectiveness
- Collect, organize, and report data related to training records and activities
- Travel between 10-20%
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience with hands-on machining and mechanical assembly/operations
- 5+ years of experience in assembly or mechanical work
- 3+ years of experience using systems such as Enovia, REDARS, PSDS, CDS, MES, DELMIA, GOLDesp, WIRS, CAPP, IVT, NCM, or OWI
- 3+ years of experience working with detailed work instructions or reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings
- 3+ years of experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Experience training and/or mentoring in a technical environment
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship
- An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required
Nice to Have
- Bachelor’s degree in related field of study
- Active US Security Clearance
- Certification in instructional design or adult education
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment, particularly in mechanical assembly
- Experience with training management systems and data reporting tools
