We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to support the design, development, testing, and modification of standard engineering solutions. You will play a key role in specifying materials, preparing schematics, and ensuring our products meet rigorous requirements.
What You'll Do
- Design, control, and implement electrical systems and products.
- Document specifications, schematics, and diagrams throughout the design process.
- Produce project progress reports and other details for managerial staff.
- Assist in the production of electrical systems, addressing issues to reduce downtime and adhere to time and budget expectations.
- Design and layout new electrical systems and create system models and simulations.
- Test new systems and implement design changes as needed.
- Arrange components inside control panels, segregate AC/DC/Voltage levels, and calculate cooling requirements.
- Deliver cable size, wire, overload, transformer, and power supply calculations.
- Travel up to 10%.
What We're Looking For
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar field.
- 10+ years of experience in hardware design, including analog/digital circuits, panel design and layout, and low voltage AC/DC systems.
- Proficiency in CAD drafting tools and SAP.
- Strong knowledge of North American standards (NFPA, NEC, UL/cUL, CSA) and International/European standards (IEC/CE).
- Fundamental understanding of motor types (DC, AC (DOL, Y-Delta, VFD), Stepped) and single-phase vs. three-phase systems.
- Experience working in an agile environment and on multi-functional teams.
- Strong collaboration, teamwork skills, and a proven track record in electrical panel work.
- Eagerness to learn new technologies.
- Current authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
