What You'll Do
Take ownership of designing and implementing system-level improvements for a low-latency, high-throughput ad-serving platform that operates at global scale. Lead technical direction for services that deliver and track ads with precision, ensuring performance, scalability, and clear observability across distributed environments. Build and refine tools that directly enhance key performance indicators, and contribute hands-on to the development, testing, deployment, and monitoring of services using Java and Python.
Guide project scoping and technical planning while maintaining rigorous engineering standards through active code reviews and system analysis. Troubleshoot complex production issues and lead efforts to identify, diagnose, and resolve performance bottlenecks across the stack.
Requirements
- Demonstrated understanding of system architecture across hardware, software, and algorithmic layers.
- Strong command of core internet protocols including HTTP, DNS, and cookie mechanisms.
- Proven ability to design and manage concurrent and distributed systems at scale—from threading models to geo-distributed clusters.
- Experience monitoring live systems, interpreting operational data, and deriving actionable insights.
- Ability to evaluate system performance both theoretically and in production, identifying and eliminating inefficiencies.
- Familiarity with challenges and solutions in high scalability and high availability environments.
- Fluency in English and Polish at C1 level or higher.
