About the Role

Manulife Financial Corporation / John Hancock Life Insurance Company (U.S.A.) is hiring a Senior Disability Administrator - File Copy to provide critical administrative support to the National Group Disability organization. You will work closely with a wide range of internal and external customers, including Case Managers, Plan Sponsors, and Plan Members.

What You'll Do

  • Process Access Requests by reviewing requests and consents to identify correct information and authority
  • Review access requests meticulously and redact third-party information to avoid privacy breaches
  • Handle emails in several group email inboxes
  • Set up disability claims and handle follow-ups
  • Manage Client and Control Reports
  • Issue payments for vendor invoices
  • Perform data entry from claim forms into the claims payment system (Navigator)
  • Email and/or print and send correspondence to claimants, clients, or other stakeholders while following privacy protocols
  • Handle offsite file tracking, search, and retrieval
  • Manage media files
  • Assist with new client onboarding, including the transfer of files
  • Support new hire onboarding by ordering IT equipment/access and coordinating with the manager
  • Provide IT equipment ordering and support for existing employees

What We're Looking For

  • Post-secondary education at the college or university level
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong PC skills with experience using Adobe and the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel
  • Excellent organization, prioritization, and planning abilities
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible, adaptable, and able to cope with high workload volumes and conflicting deadlines
  • A fast learner who is analytical, proactive, and takes initiative
  • Ability to probe, investigate, and take ownership of discrepancies/issues and see them through to resolution
  • Tact and diplomacy
  • Able to work independently as well as within a team

Nice to Have

  • Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset
