About the Role
Leads the development and execution of trade and channel strategies to support product commercialization, ensuring optimal distribution, inventory management, and stakeholder collaboration across pharmacy and specialty networks.
Responsibilities
- Direct the strategy for trade and channel operations to support product availability and market access
- Oversee relationships with key distribution partners and specialty pharmacies
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements across supply channels
- Collaborate with commercial, legal, and supply chain teams to align operational goals
- Develop performance metrics to monitor channel efficiency and service levels
- Lead forecasting and demand planning inputs related to distribution capacity
- Manage inventory positioning across the supply chain to prevent stockouts
- Evaluate and onboard new channel partners based on strategic and operational criteria
- Drive process improvements in order fulfillment and logistics coordination
- Ensure accurate chargeback and rebate processing through system integration
- Support launch readiness for new products within trade and channel frameworks
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to resolve supply disruptions
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payer and pharmacy network dynamics
- Advise on contracting terms with distributors and specialty pharmacies
- Ensure data transparency between internal teams and external partners
- Oversee audits and compliance checks for distribution partners
- Develop escalation protocols for channel-related issues
- Guide technology enhancements for distribution tracking and reporting
- Represent the function in due diligence for partnerships or acquisitions
- Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within the team
- Manage external consultants and vendors supporting trade operations
- Prepare executive-level reports on channel performance and risks
- Align trade strategy with patient support and access programs
- Ensure alignment with corporate compliance and ethical guidelines
- Lead team development and talent management within the department
