Xplor is hiring a Senior Director Regulatory Compliance APAC

About the Role

Lead and direct regulatory compliance strategy across the Asia-Pacific region, ensuring alignment with local and international financial regulations, supervising compliance frameworks, and supporting business growth through risk-informed decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement regional compliance policies in line with local regulations
  • Oversee regulatory reporting obligations across APAC jurisdictions
  • Lead engagement with financial regulators and supervisory bodies
  • Assess compliance risks associated with new products and market entries
  • Collaborate with legal and operational teams to ensure regulatory alignment
  • Monitor changes in financial services laws across APAC markets
  • Direct internal audits and compliance reviews
  • Ensure adherence to anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing standards
  • Manage relationships with external compliance consultants and advisors
  • Support incident investigation and regulatory remediation efforts
  • Lead training programs on regulatory updates for internal stakeholders
  • Coordinate with global compliance leadership on policy harmonization
  • Evaluate third-party compliance risks in vendor and partner relationships
  • Maintain oversight of licensing requirements across jurisdictions
  • Drive continuous improvement in compliance monitoring systems
  • Provide strategic input on regulatory implications of business initiatives
  • Ensure timely responses to regulatory inquiries and examinations
  • Oversee compliance aspects of mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures
  • Promote a culture of compliance across regional operations
  • Report regularly to executive leadership and governance committees
