JPMorgan Chase & Co. is hiring a Senior Director of Software Engineering to lead multiple departments within the Corporate Technology organization, focusing on Trade Surveillance Technology. You will develop and execute the strategic vision for cloud infrastructure and agentic AI solutions, driving innovation and reducing developer toil.
What You'll Do
- Develop and execute strategic vision for cloud infrastructure and agentic AI solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud architectures.
- Manage budgets, resources, and vendor relationships to maximize value and minimize risk.
- Drive the adoption and integration of agentic AI technologies to enhance business processes, customer experiences, and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to identify opportunities for leveraging cloud and AI to achieve competitive advantage.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, security policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations, reports, and proposals.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends in cloud computing, AI, and related technologies to inform strategic decisions.
What We're Looking For
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10+ years applied experience.
- 5+ years of experience leading technologists to manage, anticipate and solve complex technical items.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in technology leadership roles, with a focus on cloud and AI.
- Demonstrated expertise in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and agentic AI frameworks.
- Practical experience deploying and operating AI workloads (TLM Automation, LLMs, agents, RAG, model serving, evaluation, monitoring).
- Background in agent orchestration frameworks, policy/guardrail design, and AI safety practices.
- Experience with hiring, developing, and recognizing talent.
- Knowledge of multi-cloud patterns, cost optimization, and performance engineering for AI systems.
- Expertise in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
Nice to Have
- Prior experience working with trade technology solutions for a variety of asset classes.
- Certifications in cloud technologies or AI (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure AI Engineer).
- Experience working in regulated industries (e.g., finance, healthcare).
- Experience with Moderne and OpenRewrite recipe creation to automate code and infrastructure hygiene.
