Caminar is looking for a Senior Director of Information Technology to provide leadership and management for the entire IT department. This role is responsible for ensuring computing and telecommunication facilities meet agency needs, comply with regulations, and serve as the Information Security Officer (ISO). You will report to the Chief Operating Officer.
What You'll Do
- Provide leadership, vision, and day-to-day management to the IT department.
- Oversee the annual revision of the IT Strategic Plan.
- Manage Agency policies and procedures to protect information systems and EPHI.
- Assess and respond to agency IT needs with senior leadership and staff.
- Ensure effective and compliant staff onboarding/offboarding protocols for IT system access.
- Develop strategies to prepare staff for technological changes and reinforce security requirements.
- Hold regular departmental meetings to review goals and promote team building.
- Supervise the ongoing operations of the agency IT helpdesks (General and EHR).
- Provide day-to-day supervision, conduct performance appraisals, and delegate work assignments for all IT personnel.
- Manage recruiting, hiring, and training for IT support staff.
- Administer the department budget.
- Serve as a member of the organization’s Senior Executive Management Team and on planning committees.
- Establish and maintain agency infrastructure to support computing and information technology.
- Identify and integrate emerging information technologies.
- Ensure the agency remains current and competitive with IT infrastructure and services.
- Oversee the development, design, and implementation of new applications and changes to existing systems.
- Assess new computing technologies and the feasibility of system enhancements.
- Supervise the ordering, acquisition, inventorying, and disposition of hardware and software.
- Serve as primary contact with outside vendors for RFPs, bids, contracts, and agreements.
- Maintain the integrity and continual operation of the agency network including wiring and wireless networks.
Team & Environment
You will lead the IT department within Corporate Administration, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer.
